Reason #1 Why Your Vitamins Aren't Working
Do you take vitamins or supplements but don't really notice any difference?

It's an extremely common scenario, and unfortunately, people don't notice a difference because there isn't one.

Have you ever heard the statistic that up to 80% of your supplements just pass through your body and get literally flushed away without doing you any good? It's true.

The Problem with Supplements

The problem with most supplements is that they are synthetic, meaning they are made in a lab. They only mimic nature rather than come from it.

The reason this is important is because our bodies are designed to use nutrients from nature. They don't always recognize or know how to utilize things which only mimic nature.

Because these vitamins and supplements aren't being presented in a way that our bodies can use, they just pass through our digestive systems and out of our bodies.

In addition to the nature-mimicking nutrients, synthetic supplements also contain a lot of cheap filler ingredients. These fillers pass through our bodies at best and damage them at worst. They serve no purpose other than to “fill” the rest of the space the company doesn’t want to fill with the good stuff – because that costs money.

Think of it like a bag of chips. No one would want to pay as much as we do for a small bag of chips. The companies know this. So they make the bags larger, fill them halfway with chips, and then puff up the rest of the empty bag with air, so it looks like we’re getting a full bag of chips.

That’s maybe not a perfect analogy, but it gives you an idea of why companies include filler ingredients in their supplements.

What to Look For

If you want supplements your body will recognize, look for ones made from whole foods. The labels should contain a lot of ingredients that you recognize as fruits or vegetables, rather than just listing "vitamin X."

The main thing to avoid is the cheap supplements. Cheap supplements = cheap ingredients. And cheap ingredients will never be good ingredients.

In vitamins and supplements, you really do get what you pay for.
